Blogging is ok for handing out info but if you want a proper site it can become very expensive. I set up a website for trading/selling textbooks at my college and it ended up costing so much I had to charge a percentage of each sale (not making me that popular). If you go and Google cheap web hosting you will be bombarded with links for half assed schemes using crappy servers and doggy connections. You will properly end up with adverts on your professional site as well.
To solve these problems I came across this site. It only costs me $4.95 a month (that’s, what a coffee and donut a month!?!) and it gives me PHP scripts, eshops, wikis, My SQL hundreds of E-Mail addresses and so much more… Another great feature is you get domains so you can have www.mysite.com !!! It’s great. It even includes a easy to use site builder if you don’t know HTML.
If you are thinking about setting up a site/forum/shop/ect or have a hosting package that you’re not happy with then check this out! I highly recommend it (and no I don’t work for them but it’s just such a great deal)
